How to Make DIY Sprinkles with Wafer Paper

Looking for a fun way to customize sprinkles for your cakes, cupcakes, and cookies? These DIY Wafer Paper sprinkles are quick, mess-free, and totally customizable. With just our Wafer Paper, a hole punch, and a little luster dust, you can make beautiful, edible sprinkles in just minutes. No mess required.

They’re perfect for color-coordinated treats, seasonal themes, or adding a finishing touch to your bakes. You can stick with a classic circle punch or switch things up with star, heart, or butterfly-shaped punches to match your design.

Materials Needed:

  • Any paper2eat Wafer Paper

  • Clean hole punch (any shape: circle, star, heart, butterfly, etc.)

  • Edible luster dust

  • Small cup or bowl

Making the Wafer Paper Sprinkles

1. Punch Out Your Shapes

Use your hole punch to cut shapes from your sheet of paper2eat Wafer Paper Standard. In this tutorial we’re using a circle punch, but star, butterfly, or heart punches work just as well. Punch as many as you need for your sprinkle mix.

2. Add Luster Dust to a Cup

Spoon a small amount of edible luster dust into a clean cup or container with a lid. A pinch or two is all you need for each batch.

3. Toss Your Sprinkles In

Drop your wafer paper punch-outs into the cup with the luster dust. Put the lid on and gently shake or swirl until your sprinkles are evenly coated and shimmering.

4. Store or Use Right Away

Your sprinkles are ready to use. Add them to cupcakes, cookies, cake edges, or even drinks for a sparkly, edible pop of color. If you’re not using them right away, store in an airtight container away from moisture.

And just like that, you're all done 😌✨ Easy right?
