Edible Ink Refills FAQs
Your cartridges arrive pre-filled and ready to use, so no filling is needed when you first receive them.
When it's time to refill:
● Put the black clips back on the cartridge before refilling to prevent leaks.
● Use a new food-grade syringe for each color to avoid contamination.
● Wear disposable gloves and work in a clean area.
● Leave about 20% empty space inside the cartridge to prevent overflow and allow proper ink flow.
● Before assuming cartridges are empty, run a nozzle check to confirm proper ink flow. Missing lines usually indicate dried ink rather than empty cartridges.
● For best performance, do not refill a cartridge more than three times.
Our edible ink refill bottles can be used with some Epson printer models for refilling purposes. However, please keep the following in mind:
● We do not carry edible ink cartridges for Epson printers.
● We do not officially support any Epson printer model.
Our edible inks are Vegan, Kosher, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free, GMO-Free, and made with FDA-compliant ingredients.
If you’re using our 280/281 series cartridges, after refilling and reinstalling the cartridges, you may need to disable the ink level monitoring in your printer settings to continue printing without interruption. If using our other cartridges, this should not be an issue.
