paper2eat® 100-Day Limited Warranty for Edible Ink Printers

Important: Please Read Before Purchasing

Edible ink printers are inkjet printers that require regular use and routine maintenance. They are not intended to sit unused for extended periods of time.

Unlike a standard office printer, edible ink printers use edible ink that can dry inside the cartridges and printhead if proper maintenance procedures are not followed. Regular printing, nozzle checks, cleaning cycles, and proper storage are essential to maintaining optimal performance.

If you anticipate using the printer only occasionally (for example, a few times per year), an edible ink printer may not be the right solution for your needs.

Failure to follow the recommended maintenance and storage procedures (found here) may result in clogged printheads, dried ink cartridges, poor print quality, or permanent damage to the printer.

100-Day Limited Warranty

This warranty applies only to printers sold and shipped within the 48 contiguous United States. Printers shipped outside the 48 contiguous United States are not eligible for warranty service, repair, or replacement coverage. However, paper2eat® will gladly assist with troubleshooting by phone or email.

paper2eat® provides a limited warranty of 100 days from the date of purchase for edible ink printers purchased directly from paper2eat® .

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance during the warranty period.

Most printer issues can be resolved through troubleshooting and consultation. Customers must contact paper2eat® before any warranty determination can be made.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in the printer hardware that occur under normal use and proper maintenance.

Examples may include:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Defective hardware components
  • Printer malfunctions not caused by misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, consumables, or environmental conditions

Warranty coverage is determined by paper2eat® after troubleshooting and evaluation of the reported issue.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, consumables, or customer neglect.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Clogged printheads
  • Dried ink cartridges
  • Dried ink within the printer
  • Print quality issues caused by infrequent use
  • Printers left unused for extended periods
  • Failure to perform recommended maintenance procedures
  • Failure to properly store the printer during periods of non-use
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning methods
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized modifications
  • Damage caused by environmental conditions, including excessive heat, cold, humidity, or improper storage
  • Consumable products, including edible ink cartridges, refill inks, cleaning solutions, frosting sheets, wafer paper, and other edible printing supplies
  • Issues resulting from the use of third-party inks, cartridges, refills, or supplies not approved by paper2eat®

Issues resulting from lack of maintenance, improper storage, prolonged periods of non-use, dried ink, or clogged printheads are not considered warranty defects and are not eligible for replacement coverage.

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain eligibility for warranty coverage, customers must:

  • Follow all maintenance instructions provided by paper2eat® here
  • Use the printer regularly
  • Perform routine nozzle checks and cleaning cycles as needed
  • Properly store the printer during periods of non-use
  • Use approved edible ink products and supplies

Failure to properly maintain the printer may void warranty coverage.

Warranty Service

If you believe your printer has a warranty-related issue, please contact paper2eat® first.

Most issues can be resolved through troubleshooting and consultation. Customers may be asked to provide nozzle checks, test prints, photographs, videos, or other information to assist in diagnosing the issue.

paper2eat® reserves the right to determine whether a reported issue is covered under this warranty.

Geographic Limitations

The paper2eat® 100-Day Limited Warranty is available only for printers sold and shipped within the 48 contiguous United States.

Printers shipped outside the 48 contiguous United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, military addresses, freight forwarders, and international destinations, are not eligible for warranty service, repair, or replacement coverage.

paper2eat® will, however, make reasonable efforts to assist customers with troubleshooting and technical support via phone or email.
