Does Your Handwriting On Cakes Suck? Fix That with Frosting Sheets!

If your handwriting sucks on cakes, don’t stress about it! ✍️😭 Many bakers, whether seasoned cake artists or those just starting out, struggle with piping perfect lettering on cakes. Writing neatly on cakes is a skill that can even take years to perfect, but thanks to edible printing, there’s no need to worry if you haven’t mastered it. You can still achieve the personalized look you're going for in an easy yet professional-looking way without feeling the pressure of getting every letter just right by hand.

If you're a cool cake artist like Julianna (Instagram/TikTok: @_theheartbaker_) for example, and you're familiar with edible printing, writing on cakes can be an absolute breeze for you. Instead of worrying about smudging icing or uneven letters, you can type your message using your favorite fonts, print it, and place it on the cake. This is a game-changer, allowing you to focus on other elements of cake design, knowing the text will come out perfectly every time. Plus, it’s a time-saver for busy cake artists working on multiple projects.

✍️ How you could do this too:

1. To start, choose a nice font that fits your theme complements your cake’s design. The font you pick can set the tone for the entire cake, whether it’s elegant, fun, or whimsical. Once you’ve selected your font, type out your message. (You can do this with whatever software you normally use to print, i.e., Canva, Google Docs, Word etc.)

2. Match the color scheme of the text's background to the overall cake design. Harmonizing the color scheme of the print to the color scheme of the cake ensures that the text doesn’t just sit on the cake but that it feels like it's part of its aesthetic.

3. Print your text on our Frosting Sheets with edible ink, and place the edible print on your cake.

This method is a simple yet reliable and effective way to add clean, precise text that will look like you’ve spent hours perfecting your handwriting, without the stress!
