Everyone is OBSESSED With The Butter Cake Trend! 🧈💛

🧈 Everyone is going crazy over butter cakes right now! 💛 You almost can't scroll through cake decorating content right now without seeing butter-themed cakes floating around.

It's picked up a lot of love online, and Lydia (@msbunnibakery) made her version of this trend, which we think might quite honestly be the most perfect version there is! Let's walk you through how to recreate her WONDERFUL take on this trend using our Frosting Sheets!

Materials You’ll Need:

Step 1: Prepare Your Design

Start by creating your design digitally. The BUTTER print began as a sketch in Procreate, but you can go as simple as having a design with a yellow background and typing the text in blue.

Step 2: Print on a Frosting Sheet

Once your design is ready, print it onto our paper2eat Frosting Sheets using edible ink. The color match on this one was basically perfect!

Step 3: Coat Your Cake In Yellow

Fully frost and smooth your cake. A clean, even base makes all the difference when placing your image on top.

Step 4: Apply Your Image

Carefully trim and place your printed Frosting Sheet directly onto the cake. Lydia chose a shade of yellow for her print that matched her buttercream color so well, which made everything look even more polished

Step 5: Pipe the “Butter” Effect 🧈

Pipe vintage-style borders and swirls with your yellow buttercream and alternate between blue and yellow buttercream accents to tie it together neatly with the color scheme of your print.

Step 6: Finish and Step Back

Once the piping is complete, you can add some matching bows and/or some edible glitter for some extra shine, then take a step back and admire!
